Giga Bite Robotics FTC Team Victorious at Nevada State Championships

Team #20681 Giga Bite, a South Lake Tahoe FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) youth robotics team, has emerged as a member of the winning alliance of the Nevada State Championships, held  March 3rd and 4th in Henderson, Nevada. The team, along with VC Silver Circuits and MCII, formed the winning alliance and battled it out against 29 other teams from across the state and nearby regions.

Hot Supper Program Returns

The Club's FREE hot supper program returned this month and it came back in style. Finding a new Kitchen Manager was a long and exhaustive process, but the Club finally struck gold in Chef Dennis. Trained as a chef, Dennis is a Club parent and knows how to make restaurant quality food that the kids will love, and which hits all the USDA requirements for nutrition and quantity.

Slimmed Down Summer

The phone has been ringing off the hook for the past month as understandably parents want to know about their options for the summer.  And options are limited this year.  The FRC and the City will not be running their programs.  LTCC have a fantastic selection of summer programs, and the Presbyterian Church will be running their summer camps, but the Club is the only program running for all school age groups for full days.
