On Tuesday April 12th the Boys and Girls Club will be hosting our annual Spirit of Spring Fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of Edgewood Tahoe and Southern Wine and Spirits, Spirit of Spring is a magical evening of unlimited wine tasting, Edgewood food and sunset Lake views. Fundraisers are a vital part of our funding for the Club. Many people are under the impression that individual clubs receive funding from Boys and Girls Club of America. In truth it is the opposite, and we pay dues to BGCA in return for the name and administrative support. As we heavily subsidize our membership fees (the average member does not even pay half of the cost of having them at the Club) we rely on grants, fundraising and donations to pay our staff, buy supplies and keep the club operating.
If you can support the Club by attending one of our fundraisers or by joining our Club $25.26–A local program will guarantee the annual budget necessary to provide for more than 800 kids (and growing)–you will be helping us to keep our doors open.
