Less than a month until we kick off summer with….

Over 30 breweries are confirmed, 3 ciders, kombucha, root beer, 3 live music acts, food trucks, craft stalls and so much more. event8 Local favorites include Sidellis, Cold Water, Lake Tahoe Mountain Brews, Fifty Fifty and Alibi. From further afield we have Lagunitas, Anderson Valley, Record Street, and all the way from San Diego - Modern Times. Ciders include Common Cider, Ace cider and Hemly. For food you will have your pick between pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, homemade ice creams, pizza and novelty cookies. Something for every taste and age range.

How would the proposed VHR ban affect you?

The Club is watching with interest the proposed ban on VHRs in residential areas that will be on the November ballot. Our first concern is that any VHR reduction or ban would affect the amount of tourist occupancy tax (TOT) collected by the City, and while that does not directly affect the Club, it does affect the City’s ability to build a new Rec. Center.

Summer Sign-Up Happening Now!

It may feel like winter just started but we are only 3 months away from the summer vacation. As in prior years we have opened registrations in March to enable families to make plans, spread payments, and to ensure that we have enough time to process everyone and be ready for when summer hits.

‘Tis the season for coughs, colds, the flu and even head lice!

There are many wonderful and amazing aspects of working with children, but sharing their germs is not one of them. December saw most of the members and staff enjoying a seasonal cough and cold. We also heard that the stomach flu was making its rounds and now 2018 is bringing the real flu to the south shore. So much so that South Lake has run out of Tamiflu, the antibiotics most commonly used to treat cases of the flu.
