A Swinging Time!

Thank you to everyone who played, sponsored, volunteered and donated to our 27^th Annual Golf Classic;  being able to still hold on of our major fundraisers in this crazy year sure ‘putt’ a smile on our faces 🙂

Thanks to the creativity of Randy Fox and his team at Edgewood, the whole event got moved outside, and with dedicated tee-times and fewer participants we were able to provide a socially distanced, fun and competitive day for friends old and new.

The weather was perfect.  Hardly a breeze and glorious fall sunshine ensured that the players took full advantage of the Sidelis beer stop and the Belfor bloody-mary tent.  Lunch was provided on course by Edgewood Tahoe and players got to peruse a fabulous selection of prizes in the morning raffle.  Many players noted that they pick up great gifts Holiday for friends and family from their winnings.  For those unlucky few without wins, a consolation table of American Century golf shirts made sure that everyone went home with something.

However, the big winner of the day was surely the Club.  Just on the day of the event, the Club raised nearly $40,000 and with our silent auction still to come, we hope that we can beat last year’s total of $75,000 unrestricted funding for our kids.

Of course, none of that would be possible without the generosity of Edgewood Tahoe who provide the golf course and staff 100% free of charge, and of course all our players who willingly open their hearts and their wallets to our great cause.  THANK YOU!
