IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ IF CURRENTLY ATTENDING CLUB:

At this time, the School District (LTUSD) has not announced an end date for the rollback to phase 1 – 100% online learning.  However, looking at the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the community we are ASSUMING that the schools will not return to Phase 2 for a number of weeks. Therefore, the Club is also rolling back.  Starting November 30th we will be operating a full-day program, 5 days a week but ONLY for members who were with us for the FULL DAY in Fall Program Phase 1 and Fall Program Phase 2.This DOES NOT include members who attended the Spanish Language Club or afternoons only in Phase 1.We realize that this will cause a great inconvenience for families but we are doing our best to maintain social distancing, keep staff and members healthy, and keep the Club open. All members who CAN attend during the rollback have been contacted via email to confirm that they still wish to remain in the program.  We are asking for a commitment of 5 full days a week attendance as we know there will be members on our waitlist and need to ensure we are serving those who need us most.As soon as the District reverts to phase 2, we will follow and all phase 2 enrolled members will be able to rejoin Club.We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and willingness to work with us as we continue to roll with the punches in 2020, the sooner we can stop the spread, the sooner we hope that our schools can reopen..

We will update members via BAND, Facebook, email and this website as more information becomes available.

The below schedule, is for when we are allowed to return to Phase 2:

Phase 2 Continuation | Start date: Monday, November 30th, 2020

IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN THE FALL PROGRAM PHASE 2, YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED INTO THE WINTER PROGRAM PHASE 2, UNLESS YOU OPT OUT.

PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP IF YOU NO LONGER NEED YOUR PLACE AS WE HAVE A GROWING WAITLIST.

The Club will mirror the school district and will be open for members on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  We will be CLOSED on Wednesdays (because we can not accommodate both cohorts at once and maintain our social distancing and staff to member ratios).

We will be open for full days (8.30am to 5.30pm) at our Main Site and will offer a fall program extended day at the Rec. Center until 5:30pm.  The extended day is longer than our traditional after-school program, running for over 4.5 hours. The extended day program will consist of traditional Club activities, not school work.

Cost varies by cohort due to the Martin Luther King Holiday in January.
*Scholarships and payment plans are available.

In the morning, Members will complete their online school work in a safe, supervised and strutted format. In the afternoon we will transition to Club programs including Art, Music, Recreation, STEM and Social & Emotional Learning.

Lunch* and an afternoon snack will be provided.  Members are welcome to bring their own provided that it is in disposable packing.
Members will be in groups of no more than 12 with a designated Program Leader and classroom.

*The lunch will be provided by LTUSD and snack by BGCLT.

Members will be expected to enroll for the whole 6 weeks, and attend each day.

Priority will be given to children of essential workers, those who must be present at their place of work in order to remain employed and whole year members who have already attended the summer program.

2020-2021 After-School Only Memberships

As we cannot be certain when LTUSD will enter Phase 4 of their plan and we can operate our traditional after-school program again; we are suspending all after-school memberships for the 2020-21 academic year. Enrolled parents can choose between the three options below for how they would like to proceed. Please email membership@bgclt.org to let us know which of the 3 options you would like to proceed with and include the name of the member(s) in the email.

This does not affect Whole Year Members who will receive guaranteed service during the 2020-21 school vacations and be eligible for priority enrollment in our fall and subsequent programs.

1. Receive a full refund of after-school only membership dues paid for the 20-21 school year.

The refund will come in the form of a check (made payable to who paid the membership fee) and may take up to one month to process. You will receive a refund equal to the amount you have paid to date. Members who chose a full refund should be aware that we cannot guarantee a place at Club once we reach phase 4 and the traditional after-school program resumes.

2. Receive a full credit for any money paid towards your after-school only membership. The credit can be applied towards any future programs or memberships that you are enrolled in at the Club. Those enrolled in the fall program can apply their credit towards the fall program fees. There is no expiration date for the credit and it may be applied towards any child in your family.

3. Donate the money you have paid towards your after-school only membership, to the Club! You will receive acknowledgement of your donation and any amount over $25 will earn you a pair of our amazing Team AWESOME socks. All donations currently qualify for an IRS tax write-off and tax letters will be provided.
